Carriageworks and Felix Media present a two-day masterclass on moving image production and presentation on Thursday 30 June and Friday 1 July 2016 at Carriageworks in Sydney.
The masterclass is for visual artists, filmmakers, and creative initiators from all performance backgrounds (including music, dance, theatre) with a genuine interest in exploring screen-based ideas. The masterclass will be lead by John Maynard and Bridget Ikin of Felix Media.
Felix Media is a film production company, based at Carriageworks, with a specific interest in responding to the increasing interest by visual artists to realise film and screen-based projects.
Felix has produced Lynette Wallworth’s Coral: Rekindling Venus for full-dome cinemas and Angelica Mesiti’s multi-screen works The Calling, Citizens Band, The Ear of the Tyrant and The Begin Again. Three of William Yang’s monologues have been re-created for the screen: My Generation, Friends of Dorothy, and Blood Links. Most recently, Felix has produced Hossein Valamanesh’s 4-screen work Char Soo.
